Upgrade Instructions:
1. Download XenaRelease_38.zip (33.5MB) to a directory on your PC and unzip it.
2. Run the “Setup.exe” program in that directory.
You will see there are two options:
OPTION 1: Installing desktop software on a PC
In the “Setup” program, click the “Get desktop software” button. This copies the XenaManager and other appropriate files to your PC, and creates a shortcut on your Windows desktop to this version of the XenaManager. Note that if you have been using an older version of the XenaManager you will need to recreate your testbed by re-‘Adding’ each tester. Alternatively you can export the testbed from the old version, and then import it in the new.
OPTION 2: Installing firmware on a tester
In the “Setup” program, enter the tester’s IP address and password, and click the “Connect to chassis” button. This brings up a new window with a summary of the current versions of all the firmware components on the tester, and an indication of whether each is up-to-date. You can then click the ‘Upgrade’ button to initiate an automatic upgrade of the chassis. When the upgrade is complete, the tester will restart, and the setup program will reconnect and verify that the new versions have been installed. You can then close this window, and connect to another tester if needed.
