The balance of the Xena team includes experienced communication professionals from organizations such as Vitesse, Microsoft, and Cisco. The team has been active in both the U.S. and Europe, helping to build technologies that power today's networking infrastructure.
Management Team
Jacob Vestergaard Nielsen, Chief Executive Officer
Jacob is an experienced entrepreneur with 20 years of international experience in the European and US networking and telecom industry. Prior to founding Xena, Jacob has held engineering and executive positions with companies in the networking and telecom industry, including NKT Elektronik, DSC communications, Vitesse Semiconductor, Enigma Semiconductor, and he is the founder of two technology companies. Jacob holds a M.Sc.EE from the Technical University of Denmark
Hans Hurvig, Chief Technology Officer
Hans is the CTO of Xena Networks. His experience covers a broad range engineering and executive positions with companies in the IT industry, including Microsoft, Cisco Cable Systems, Speednames, Enigma Semiconductor, and Zyb, as well as serving in a range of advisory positions. Hans received a M.Sc. EE from the Technical University of Denmark, and holds ten US patents.
Lars Dittmann, Chief Scientist
Lars has since January 99 been heading the network competence area within the Department of Photonics Engineering at the Technical University of Denmark and was prior to that responsible for electronic switching and ATM networks at the Center for Broadband Telecommunication. Lars Dittmann received the M.Sc. EE and Ph.D. from the Technical university of Denmark in 1988 and 1994, and is currently Professor at the Technical University of Denmark within the area of integrated network.
